Throw in Some Change

and to you who said you’d been given the wrong name

I’d like to give a free pass to my heart like a

bus ride from east to west coast

and not in the cheap seats by half

let’s take a place at the front and next to a grimy window

press close and use times four elbow grease in clearing a view

find the majesty

where it takes us _ where we both were looking to go

what was long on the itinerary in that years’-old timetable _ the one
in your back pocket the same as the one in my top

we all have a tattered directory
we all need a little help
